They enjoy the comfort, familiarity, and routines of their own space and often find relaxation and happiness in quiet, home-centered activities.
This series began with an interest in the concept of hygge. Hygge, a term from Danish, stands for a cozy atmosphere and joy of life. It describes the feeling of warmth, comfort, and familiarity.
Hygge is not only about comfortable interior design, but also about calm activities: such as lighting a candle, snuggling into a warm blanket, enjoying a hot drink on the couch, or getting lost in the story of a great book.
The connection between hygge and the idea of being a homebody ultimately inspired this series, as the artworks reflect the sensations associated with these two concepts.
